The 2005 Vina Pedrosa spent 6 months in French and American oak. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers a nose of cedar, spice box, and blackberry. Fruit-forward and mouth-filling, it has layers of spicy black fruits and excellent balance. Drink it now through 2015. As a side note, the 2001 Vina Pedrosa Gran Reserva was austere, ungiving, and needs to be retasted.Importer: Christopher Cannan, Europvin; www.vinapedrosa.com
