The 2004 Vina Pedrosa is a beast of a wine for its humble price. Saturated purple in color, the nose offers up scorched earth, hard wood charcoal, and black fruits which jump from the glass. In the mouth there are layers of blue and black fruit flavors and a hint of licorice. This ripe, structured wine should blossom with 1-3 years of cellaring and give pleasure for an additional decade.
