From a vineyard originally developed by Gary Andrus (Archery Summit, in Oregon) and planted to more than 6,000 vines per hectare, the 2019 Glenlee Pinot Noir smells intriguingly herbal and tea-like, yet it buffers those notes with concentrated strawberry and raspberry fruit. The result is a sort of briary complexity, nicely supported by fine-grained, silky tannins and bright acidity on the long-lasting finish. After a disappointing 2018, it's nice to see this bottling bounce back.
