One of the finest Cabernets I have tasted from Washington (albeit from a barrel sample) is the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Klipsun Vineyard, sourced from a highly regarded terroir planted in 1984. There are only four barrels (less than 100 cases) of this dense, exceptionally concentrated, beautifully proportioned Cabernet. Medium to full-bodied (14.6% alcohol) with a sense of elegance, it will reward 6-8 years of cellaring and will offer a drinking window extending from 2017 to 2028+ upon release. French ex-pat Marie-Eve Gilla is a partner and winemaker of Forgeron Cellars, located in Walla Walla. These are the finest wines I have tasted to date from this reliable source.Tel.
