The 2018 Queen of the Earth Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and complex, with layers of earth, exotic spice, toasted oak, resin, rocks and dark berries. In the mouth, the wine expounds all of these virtues and does so in a way that evokes Clint Eastwood "The Good The Bad and The Ugly" theme music and tumbleweed across a dusty street. It is evocative, dry, thematic and purposeful, and I find it to be quite beguiling. Not a wine if you're not a fan of tannin, because there is plenty here. But it is fresh in its way and beautifully integrated. This has decades to go. It has plenty of fruit by virtue of the vintage. It is savory, though. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
