The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is fine and pretty, shaped by firm tannins in the mouth. It has notes of cassis, violets, graphite, black pepper, blood plum and clove as well as charry star anise. The tannins and oak feel more pronounced than the fruit here. It's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot, matured for 14 months. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% each Merlot and Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot shows a fine, perfumed character, with scents of bay leaf and sage joining ripe cherries, dusty oak and a hint of espresso. It's medium to full-bodied and smooth and velvety in feel, with just enough tannin to impart a dry, savory edge to the finish. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.

Pungently herbal, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot features a bit too much oregano, mint and sage layered over tomato-y fruit for this taster. There is some nice cassis fruit on the medium to full-bodied palate, supported by grainy, open-knit tannins and some cedary notes on the finish. Drink this over the next few years.
