Fresh and clean from the outset, the 2013 Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso offers vinous aromas of blueberry, dried fruit, cherry, spring flowers and dried herb. The wine delivers a fresh and clean approach with earthy notes and light accents of spice and toasted pine nut. This is a great choice for informal meals centered around hamburgers or barbecued ribs. The blend is 80% Piedirosso and 20% Aglianico.

There is a lot to like in the 2010 Lacryma Christi Rosso. Tar, smoke, licorice, mint, game and cured meats are some of the many notes that emerge from this powerful, virile red. There is no shortage of brute intensity in this extroverted Campanian red. Readers will have a very hard time finding a better wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016. Once again, Feudi impresses for the sheer breadth of their range.
