Aromas of redcurrants, dried cranberries with ground spices, tobacco leaf and dry earth. Some dried orange peel, too. Full and chewy on the palate with fine tannins and steady acidity cutting through. Fresh and balanced. Needs some time to soften. From organically grown grapes. Try after 2025.

Part of a growing trend to identify Nebbiolo by village origin, the Enzo Boglietti 2017 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a softly pliant and velvety expression with plenty of bright and intact fruit tones. Those primary aromas recall dark cherry, cassis and plum. The wine's complexity is further amplified by crushed flowers, tar and campfire ash. Barolo from La Morra usually shows an especially fine mouthfeel. This wine complies with that rule but also throws in some grilled herb or bitter almond on the finish. Production is 6,366 bottles.
