Few wineries in California any longer produce this Chardonnay-like French variety, but Dutton-Goldfield continues to do a good job. It has a creamy texture, with flavors of peaches, green apples, pears, vanilla and cinnamon spice. With no oak, it’s a clean, crisply acidic wine. — (8/1/2009) —87
