This Eric Dunham/Kyle MacLachlan collaboration opens a bit lighter and less ripe than in previous vintages, perhaps a reflection of the cooler, higher-acid conditions of 2008. 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Pursued by Bear sourced from the Lewis Estate Vineyard and the Phinny Hill Vineyard contains 11% Merlot and 11% Syrah in its blend. A hint of herbs, Asian spices, incense, black currant, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a savory, ripe, layered Cabernet with several years of aging potential.
