Pineapple, pear and melon aromas mark the nose of the 2020 Saint Joseph Blanc Sainte Epine, which comes from a high-altitude (380 meters above sea level), granitic site. All Marsanne, matured in two- and three-year-old barrels, it's medium to full-bodied, ripe, rich and round, yet remains wonderfully drinkable and refreshing, with ample citrus and a trace of bitterness on the long, silky finish. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.
