The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignières opens in the glass with aromas of citrus oil, peach and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's rich and seamless, with lively acids and a long, saline finish.

Mingling notes of pear and crisp yellow apple with hints of mint and blanched almond, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignières is medium-bodied, deep and tangy, with a concentrated but chiseled profile. Once again, it's a fine cuvée in the making.

Revisited from bottle, Colin's 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignières opens in the glass with a youthful but already rather expressive nose of pear, fresh peach, blanched almonds and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, ample and elegantly textural, it's bright but open-knit, with a charming profile and a nicely precise finish.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignières is performing especially well from bottle, opening in the glass with a pretty bouquet that mingles apple and pear with notions of white flowers, citrus zest and praline. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with lovely depth and tension but also considerable charm and upfront appeal.

The 2016 Puligny Montrachet les Enceignières is another nascent wine that showed a touch of licorice on the nose, yet this is undeniably well defined, quite powerful and intense with orange rind and tinned apricot scents following through. The palate is well balanced and packed to the rafters with marmalade-tinged citrus fruit. There acidity here is superb and there is impressive weight and length on the finish. What a superb village cru from the domaine.
