The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet les Enseignières, which sees around 20% new oak, the rest a maximum of three-year-old wood, has a backward nose compared to the 2014 Trezin -- although it awakes from its slumber with enticing spicy scents, a touch of white tea developing with time. The palate is crisp and fresh with good weight in the mouth and well judged acidity. There is harmony here, a sense of focus and poise, leading to a citrus-fresh, mineral finish that lingers. This is excellent.
