The 2019 Givry 1er Cru Le Pied du Clou is excellent, bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums, cherries and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, it's nicely concentrated, with a seamless, elegant profile and a long, perfumed finish.

Aromas of raspberries and spices mingle with hints of candied peel, licorice and wood smoke in a complex bouquet, introducing the 2017 Givry 1er Cru Le Pied du Clou, a medium to full-bodied, velvety-textured wine with fine concentration, lively acids and a precise, delicately chalky finish.

The 2016 Givry 1er Cru Le Pied du Clou is very pretty, offering up a direct bouquet of juicy cherries, potpourri and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, velvety and delicate, with fine-grained structuring tannins and a juicy core of fruit. Tightly spaced at some 11,000 vines per hectare, this parcel is planted with young vines—but the cuttings were taken from famous domaines in the C?te d'Or.
