The 2016 Chablis has a simple bouquet with light veins of dried mango on the nose, even a touch of peachiness with time. The palate is balanced with a simple, tropical-tinged entry of guava and passion fruit. There's a fresh finish that does not really cry out “I’m from Chablis” with much conviction.

The 2015 Chablis Village has a crisp shellfish-scented bouquet that harks back to the seaside (rock pools, specifically!). The palate is well balanced with bitter lemon on the tip of the tongue, moderate depth, but a keen line of acidity and a subtle marine influence on the finish that like one or two others, is faintly reminiscent of a fine Muscadet! Enjoy this over 4-6 years.

The 2014 Chablis, which spent eight months in stainless steel, is leagues above the quality of their Petit Chablis this year. It has a well-defined and energetic bouquet with citrus fruit, limestone and flinty notes that come together harmoniously. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp citrus fruit on the entry, just a light squeeze of lime and then the right amount of bitterness on the marine-influenced finish to urge another sip. This is very well made and should drink well for 4 to 6 years.
