Readers should stock up on the 2008 Terre des Anges rose for summertime drinking. A custom cuvee from the brilliant oenologist, Philippe Cambie, it is an interesting blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc. Offering wonderful freshness along with copious quantities of melon, citrus, strawberry, and berry fruit along with dry, crisp flavors, it is a delicate rose that should be enjoyed over the next 6 months. The 2008 Chateau Paradis Terre des Anges exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a Bordeaux-styled structure and tannin level, and plenty of black currant, tobacco leaf, licorice, and earth characteristics. This medium-bodied, well-made effort is best drunk over the next 3-4 years.
