The value-priced 2003 Costieres de Nimes (30% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, and 20% Carignan) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with a big, smoky nose of melted asphalt, black currants, cherries, and flowers. This deep, luscious, fruit-driven red has fine body as well as a terrific finish for a wine in this price category. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years.Importer: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel. (540) 722-9228
