The 2015 Costieres de Nimes is overly tannic and features dense, dried-fruit aromas and flavors.

The classic 2013 Costières de N?mes is more medium-bodied, firm and slightly austere, yet has solid notes of peppery herbs, cedary spice and darker fruits. It has good concentration and is certainly well-made, and I suspect will drink nicely for 4-5 years. The blend for this cuvee is 50% Syrah, the rest is Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre.

The value-priced 2003 Costieres de Nimes (30% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, and 20% Carignan) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with a big, smoky nose of melted asphalt, black currants, cherries, and flowers. This deep, luscious, fruit-driven red has fine body as well as a terrific finish for a wine in this price category. This is a super buy in a lusty, medium-bodied, fruit-driven red. This blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, and 10% Carignan exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as knock-out aromas of black fruits, smoke, pepper, leather, and spice.
