Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes 2011 has a very detailed, refined bouquet with pure wild strawberry, red cherry, freshly tilled soil and leafy aromas – classic in terms of its bouquet…very 2011. The palate is crisp and fresh, with fine tension. There is less weight here than its peers, but good focus and length, with a fine spicy touch on the finish. This is a fine showing from Chanson.
