Cuilleron deserves more recognition; he has become one of the better producers of Condrieu. He fashioned two excellent 1991s. The 1991 Condrieu-Vieilles Vignes offers a flowery, apricot/peachy scent, as well as a pronounced aroma of cherries. In the mouth, the wine displays marvelous depth, a full, unctuous, chewy texture, enough acidity to provide definition, and gobs of fruit and alcohol in the lusty finish. It should be drunk over the next 1-2 years.
