Buoncristiani’s 2008 O.P.C. is 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 20% Merlot and 8% Malbec. It is a dense, chewy wine laced with black fruit, licorice, spices and violets, all of which come together in a bursting style. The wine shows elegance and fine overall balance. Buoncristiani’s 2007 O.P.C. is a fairly priced, impressively endowed blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Syrah, 17% Merlot and 10% Malbec. It possesses a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant aromas of charcoal and camphor intermixed with background oak and spice.
