Buoncristiani’s 2007 O.P.C. is a fairly priced, impressively endowed blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Syrah, 17% Merlot and 10% Malbec. It possesses a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant aromas of charcoal and camphor intermixed with background oak and spice. There's a little bit of lots of things here—Cabernet, Syrah, Malbec and Merlot—very tightly wound, with firm tannins and flinty acidity. Needs time to show what it has, but pointed in the right direction. Decant. Best from 2013 through 2020. 2,025 cases made. -JL
