Here's a fun wine from Bruno Rocca that I have never reviewed before. The 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba Trifolé offers us a pretty window onto this versatile grape. You get lots of plump and attractive dark fruit, and the wine is also distinguished by mineral tones with crushed aspirin or chalk. It offers a mid-weight mouthfeel, with just the right amount of freshness to pair with a cheesy-heavy Margherita pizza. Winemaking is simple, with just six months in stainless steel.
