Much better is the 2008 Pinot Noir Reserve from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Strawberry, black cherry, cola and root vegetable notes are found in this medium-bodied, well-endowed, delicious 2008. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. This winery was a perennial under-achiever until it was purchased by the huge Gallo empire. Since then, the quality has taken a dramatic turn for the better.
