The 2009 Chardonnay Monterey (89% Chardonnay, 5% Viognier and 6% Riesling) exhibits an elegant, medium-bodied style with buttery tropical fruit notes intertwined with honeyed citrus. Crisp and zesty with moderate alcohol, it can be enjoyed over the next several years. This winery was a perennial under-achiever until it was purchased by the huge Gallo empire.
