The first “official” vintage from this Gibbston Valley based producer who used to sell their fruit from ten-year old vines to Pereguin, the 2007 Brennan Pinot Noir has a sweet ripe nose of dark cherry, strawberry and a subtle touch of dried herbs. Good definition. The palate is medium-bodied, a little disjointed at the moment but nice clean dark fruits, a chalky texture towards the finish. Perhaps introverted at the moment, but it certainly bodes well for the future. Drink 2010-2013. No known American importer.
