The 2011 Tempranillo is aged for three months in barrel. Bottled just before I tasted the wine, the nose is a little disjointed but there is plenty of balsamic-tinged red berry fruit with a touch of kirsch. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, light raspberry and strawberry. It has a slight grittiness towards the finish, but it is clean, fresh and tries not to do anything more than represent a delicious quaffing red. Looks like the job is done. Drink now-2014.
