The head-pruned vines from the property are the backbone for the 2019 Torre Albéniz Reserva, which comes through as very classical, serious and harmonious, with integrated oak and abundant but fine-grained tannins. It had a longer élevage but keeps very good freshness. The wine is powerful, ripe and complete, with a tasty mouthfeel and a velvety sensation. They harvested earlier in this warm and dry year, and the wine shows better balance in general.

The classical 2018 Torre Albéniz Reserva, produced with a majority of Tempranillo and 5% other grapes, such as Garnacha and Albillo, feels generously oaked after 27 months in barrel. It is ripe without excess despite the 15% alcohol and has the freshness from 2018. It was produced with head-pruned, organic and biodynamic grapes from their older vineyards. It's a bit of a contradiction, but this feels riper than the 2019, which comes from a warmer and drier year. 52,015 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021.

The very classical 2016 Torre Albéniz Reserva is generously oaked, ripe without excess and with the freshness from 2016. It was produced with organic and biodynamic Tempranillo from their older vineyards, with 5% of other grapes (including whites). It has 15% alcohol and was in barrel for 25 months without racking. It should develop nicely in bottle. 41,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2018.

The harmonious 2014 Torre Albéniz Reserva is very classical, produced with grapes from old vines planted with Tempranillo and other local varieties. It's sleek and polished with integrated oak, combining power and elegance. 23,000 bottles were filled in March 2017.

The 2012 Torre Albéniz Reserva felt quite classical and a little too ripe and advanced for the vintage and its age, with notes of prunes and something earthy. The oak is nicely integrated, and seems to have been polished by two years in bottle, which has lent it a soft texture and a pleasant mouthfeel. Quite approachable and easy to drink. 25,000 bottles.
