Produced from 22 hectoliter per hectare yields, the 2003 Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes (red) was aged entirely in 500-liter oak barrels (25% of which were new). Its promising nose, packed with waxy black cherries, is backed-up by a concentrated, dense, and intense flavor profile. Medium-bodied, it offers thick layers of sweet dark fruits that coat the taster’s palate, lingering in its long finish. This is what a Bourgogne should always taste like! Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
