The 2021 Chardonnay is creamy and concentrated, with notes of yellow peach, a hint of curry leaf, saltbush, brine, green apple skins and a splay of fine texture through the finish. This is long in the mouth; lovely lingering flavors hang around long after the wine has gone. It is very smart, classy. It comes from a cool(ish) year in Margaret River with plenty of rain about the growing season, but the Chardonnays have been sensational so far. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Scents of crème br?lée and lemon custard emerge from the glass, later adding hints of peach sherbet on the palate. This 2018 Chardonnay is medium-bodied, with gentle oak accents, a silky texture and a long, citrusy finish. Nicely executed in a middle-of-the-road style, this crowd-pleaser may be consumed anytime over the next 5-6 years.

Delicate hints of struck match and pencil shavings appear on the nose of the 2017 Chardonnay, which was half barrel fermented and aged (the other half was made and aged in stainless steel). Pineapple fruit notes dominate the medium-bodied palate, but there are also soft shadings of grilled sweet corn and bright touches of citrus on the crisp, focused finish.

Half barrel fermented and aged and half made in stainless steel, the 2016 Chardonnay offers attractive notes of roasted cashews up front, balanced by bright, intense pineapple aromas and flavors. It's not the most complex, medium-bodied white, but it offers plenty of Chardonnay flavor, a sense of balance and generosity on the palate and a crisp, electric finish.
