I'm picking up more clues of reduction than usual when tasting these wines from Friuli, and the 2013 Collio Pinot Bianco Vino Bianco degli Ulivi definitely shows them as well. This is a very nice, creamy and rich white, with notes of stone fruit and honey and some flint and ash at the back. You also get those classic Polencic candied fruit aromas from this vintage. The wine is aged in tonneaux for two years. The mouthfeel is great. It has the solid structure that Pinot Bianco is known for, and it should hold well for the next few years to come, thanks to that slightly closed first impression. Only 2,500 bottles were made.
