The 2008 Barbaresco Duemilaotto is a pretty, soft wine best suited to near-term drinking. It shows lovely suppleness in its expressive bouquet, radiant fruit and plush, inviting personality. Gentle spices notes are woven throughout the finish. It is a fabulous wine at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. This is a terrific set of wines from Angelo Rocca. The Barbareschi in particular have become much more refined over the last few vintages than was the case previously.
