Adanti has done a fine job with this aged Sagrantino. The 2008 Montefalco Sagrantino shows depth and sophistication with a brooding, masculine bouquet. Thickly ripened layers of dark fruit, prune, spice, smoke and moist chewing tobacco peel off slowly. As you can expect of the Sagrantino grape, this velvety dark wine shows loads of stamina and persistence.
