A step up the quality ladder, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Platinum features more cassis fruit alongside the black cherries and builds in a delicate framework of pencil shavings (it spent 20 months in 65% new oak, mostly French). Medium to full-bodied, it's reasonably rich and concentrated and nicely balanced, offering a bit more tannins and structure than the Heritage Collection bottling. Fruit was sourced from eastern Calistoga and southern Napa.
