The warm-vintage 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Famiglia Pasqua is a plump and accessible wine, teeming with generous notes of blackberry and dried plum. The blend is 65% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Corvinone and 5% Negrara and grapes see a brief 90 days of appassimento. Plenty of spice, tar and leather fills out the rear. The wine is aged in oak for up to 20 months. Some 36,000 bottles were produced. This is a food-friendly, go-to wine for those who may be less familiar with Amarone.
