The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses has a pastille-like purity on the nose that gently unfolds in the glass: raspberry preserve, wild strawberry, forest floor and a touch of autumn leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, crisp acidity, quite lithe in the mouth, with an elegant long finish that exudes both the terroir and Pinot Noir. I wonder if this will match the fantastic 2011 once in bottle?
