The 2013 Cabernet Franc also has 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. It was aged in neutral French oak for 12 months and comes in at 12.5% alcohol. For the "regular" Cabernet Franc, this is quite a mouthful in its youth and it seems to be a nice step up on the 2012--something I think I'm going to be saying a lot. Showing the same elegance and craftsmanship as in the pricier 2010 Petit Verdot Limited Edition (also reviewed), this is fresh and elegant, with good concentration in the mid-palate for this level, and a nice lingering finish. With air, it shows more character and also more power. The style here has "food wine" written all over it, considering its graceful construction in the mid-palate coupled with its structure. It should age reasonably well for the category.
