This winery always has a generic offering from the Central Coast. Both 1992 and 1993 Central Coast Pinot Noirs offer sweet, ripe palates, but the 1993 exhibits more color saturation, an aromatic, lingering, spicy bouquet, as well as riper, richer, more complete flavors. It offers a seductive glass of fully mature Pinot Noir for drinking over the next 2-3 years. When tasted beside the 1993, the 1992 comes across as lighter, but still a user-friendly, delicious, herb and berry-scented and flavored wine.Although Calera has significantly more competition, their wines remain reference points for just how good Pinot Noir can be.Tel.
