The nose is herbal, bordering on piquant. There are also detectable notes of cherry and beet. The berry fruit that dominates the palate is mild, even slightly citrusy, at the edges. This isn’t the most exciting wine you’ll encounter, but it’s beyond pedestrian and shouldn’t disappoint by-the-glass drinkers and those with modest expectations. —M.S.——M.S.(3/1/2003)—— 85
