This is considerably better than the same producer’s 2017. Fully weighted. Nicely concentrated with a plenitude of fruit and oak, yet no paucity of freshness. Cherry liqueur, spruce, licorice strap and smoked meat, with a ferrous burr of tannin across the dry, moreish finish. Drink or hold.
