Surprisingly, Leflaive's Batard-Montrachet was the least impressive of this negociant firm's grand crus. Its stone and citrus-scented nose is followed by a medium-bodied, lime, anise, and mineral-flavored character. This tangy, zesty, and vivacious wine should be consumed over the next 5 years.
