Made in a lighter style, the 2005 Syrah Reserve Glenrose Vineyard displays a hint of bacon fat, a restrained oak component, and Crozes-Hermitage-like notes of tapenade, herbs, and black fruits. This medium-bodied Syrah should drink nicely for 3-4 years. This winery is clearly on the upswing of quality.
