The 2017 Rheingau Riesling Trocken The Daily August is bright, pure and coolish on the spicy/fruity nose that represents a classic Rheingau Riesling style with white and pale yellow fruit aromas intermixed with slatey notes. Lush and round but also pure and piquant on the palate, this is a stimulating, light-footed Riesling at 11.5% alcohol. With good grip on the finish, this 2017 already drinks very well but will improve over the years in the bottle. Tasted November 2018.
