The 2006 Chianti Classico is a dark, brooding beauty endowed with generous dark cherries, herbs, earthiness and tar. This is an especially large-scaled Chianti from a property that continues to show improvement. The wine’s generous fruit makes it appealing today, but the wine also appears to have the stuffing to last for at least another few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
