From the newest addition to Domaine Serene’s considerable land-holdings, the 2002 Pinot Noir Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is fashioned from a 90-acre (55 planted) parcel located on the Yamhill and Polk county lines. From vines planted in 1999, this waxy black cherry and fresh herb-scented effort is medium to full-bodied, intense, and gorgeously ripe. Its syrupy flavors are packed with black as well as red cherries in addition to candied raspberries and Asian spices. This hedonistic fruit bomb also reveals a lengthy, suave finish. Enjoy it over the next 6 years.
