The 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Petits Pieds d’Armand shows classic kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with licorice, raspberries, and spice. The color is dark ruby with some purple nuances and the wine is medium to full-bodied with impressive concentration and depth. This is surprisingly forward and delicious (totally dissimilar in that sense from the tannic, backward 2003) and should be drunk over the next 10-15 years.
