Sartarelli's 2009 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Tralivio impresses for its fabulous overall balance. A rich, textured white, the Tralivio flows with layers of beautifully articulated fruit. Aging in steel keeps the wine vibrant, while lees stirring gives the Tralivio an additional measure of richness. Hints of smoke and minerals add complexity on the round, creamy finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. This is another strong set of wines from Sartarelli, one of the reference point estates for Verdicchio.
