Tasted twice with consistent notes, the 2010 Terres Negres, sourced from a vineyard planted in the Albera Nature Reserve, is pure Carinena aged for 12 months in French barriques. It has a pleasant nose of raspberry and cranberry laced with cedar and forest floor scents. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannins and a very keen thread of citric acidity. It has fine focus and tension towards the finish with crisp blackberry, boysenberry and earthy tones. This is an enjoyable Emporda red. Drink now-2017.
