This massively structured powerhouse flows from the glass with sensual layers of dark plum, cedar, cherries, dried roses, incense, tobacco and leather. The signature tertiary complexity that is such a large part of the Roagna house style is in full force, yet the wine preserves gorgeous inner perfume and freshness. This is a hypnotic, transcendental Barbaresco from Luca Roagna. In 2001 Roagna bottled just his best barrels for this selection. There are only 1,200 bottles of the 2001 Crichet Paje to go around.
