The 1995 Rose, a wine made from bleeding off a percentage of the red wine tanks (in order to obtain more concentration), is a 70% Syrah/30% Grenache blend. It is crisp and elegant, with medium body, and lovely cherry, raspberry, and strawberry fruit. This dry wine is ideal for drinking over the next year.Wow! Another terrific discovery from Costieres de Nimes, that sun-drenched portion of Provence south of Avignon. This estate, which has a vineyard blanketed with the football-sized galet ronde (large oblong-shaped rocks), is run by Francois Collard.Importer: Peter Weygandt, Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA; tel (610) 932-2745
