The 2011 Mas Elena is a blend of 59% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc aged for eight months in used French oak barrels. The nose is quite dominated by the toasty oak aromas right now, with notes of wild berries and sweet spices. The palate is quite creamy, with chunky tannins and a slightly drying finish.
